Fumi and Higashi are coworkers and boyfriends. They celebrate their one year anniversary, but Fumi's overcome with feelings of doubt regarding their relationship.
"Why do you like someone like me"? Higashi comes to terms with the uncertainties of being in a gay relationship and Fumi's insecurity.
*Part 2 touches on the asexual/demisexual nature of Higashi.
still great, would 100% buy this again in print if that's ever an option
Not much to report here besides that this is still excellent. I like the gentle but never saccharine vibe of this manga. In this installation, we get more of Higashi's perspective ...view moreon their relationship, as well as past relationships he's had. Asexual terminology is not specifically in use, but I think ace readers will recognize some of his feelings. I thought the little detail of Higashi reading BL was also interesting -- it's hard to conceive what's possible if you haven't really seen it before, either around you in real life or in fiction.
While this part mostly belongs to Higashi, we also come to better understand what exactly he likes about Fumi, starting as just coworkers and later in a closer relationship. As an update on the age gap/work power dynamics, it's been a non-issue so far and I suspect it will continue to be so.
I took a peek at the mangaka's pixiv and it seems there is still a lot more story to go. (Part 1 and Part 2 have so far covered chapters 1-5 out of 15 as of today) so I will eagerly anticipate the next part. view less
